Thirty-One Party Cupcake Toppers

This week I'm working on some Thirty-One Purse Party Cupcakes.  I'm making fondant purse toppers for my Cosmopolitan Cupcakes.. which I'm having a blast with!  I modeled them after items in the Thirty-One catalog.. and here they are.. I just love how they turned out :)

I'll post the finished Cupcakes sometime this weekend..

Valentine Cupcakes

So I was thinking about what to bake for Valentine's Day and came across some recipes for Chocolate & Wine Cupcakes.. two of my favorites.. actually three (choc + wine + cupcakes).  Plus what better combination for V's Day - right!?  I decided on a Chocolate & Chianti cupcake with Mascarpone icing.  I found Mascarpone on one of the recipes and I've never tried it so of course I was curious (supposed to go very well with the other flavors).. it sure did!!  I had fun with these.. always love trying out a new recipe or flavor combo.

I baked my cupcakes in 'sexy' leopard wraps ;)

Here they are all frosted and pretty (made some fondant hearts for toppers)

mmmmm... chocolate & peanut butter

So this year for my husband's Birthday (which is today), we decided on a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake.. mostly because I've been dying to do one for some time now.. but also because we both LOVE Chocolate & PB!  So I just finished the Cake and here it is.. It's a Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter crunch filling, covered in PB buttercream.  The piped decorations are Chocolate buttercream and the top has PB drizzle on it - can't wait for dessert tonight!!
